Before you start
A Shadow account on a paid plan or free trial — sign up at shadow.co.
At least one connected platform — Muse can only query data you have already connected inside Shadow.
Know which Shadow workspace you want Muse to use. The authorization screen asks you to pick one.
Sign in to Shadow in your browser, and open Muse on the web or in the Muse app.
Connect Shadow inside Muse
Muse does not list Shadow in its built-in connector catalog. You add it by asking.

Muse returns an authorization link. Open it.
Sign in with your Shadow account if prompted. If you already have a Shadow session, you go straight to the workspace picker.
Choose the workspace Muse should use.
Review the requested access and approve the connection.
Return to Muse and ask it to confirm Shadow is connected and name the workspace it is using.

Change workspace
Authorization sets one default workspace for the connection. Shadow can still resolve a different workspace you have access to when you name it — say "Use the [workspace name] workspace" in your prompt. If two workspace names are similar, or the answer looks wrong, ask Muse to list your available Shadow workspaces before continuing.
Disconnect Shadow
In Muse, go to Settings → Connectors, find Shadow and disconnect it. Disconnecting stops any future data exchange, but information already used may remain in Muse's memory or conversation history. Ask Muse to forget the related interactions if you need it gone.
Troubleshooting
Muse does not recognize the connector. Confirm the server is exactly https://mcp.shadow.co. Ask Muse to create a custom connector rather than search its built-in catalog. Start a new conversation and send the setup message again.
The link opens a sign-in screen. Expected if your browser has no Shadow session. Sign in with the account that belongs to the workspace you want.
The workspace is missing. Confirm that the same Shadow account is a member of that workspace. If the browser is signed into the wrong Shadow account, sign out from inside the authorization flow and sign in again.
Muse answers from the wrong workspace. Name the workspace explicitly in the prompt, and ask Muse to confirm which workspace it resolved before you rely on the answer.
Authorization fails after the redirect. Copy the error, your device, the Muse surface and the approximate time, then contact Shadow support. Never send access tokens, refresh tokens, passwords or authorization codes.
